Terms of Service

Straightforward terms for a free, independent open-source TV application.

Effective 2 November 2026 · Maintainer: abbaskip

1. Purpose and availability

Nuvio ReSeq is an independently maintained fork of Nuvio for Android TV. It provides media browsing and playback, episode ordering, optional tracking integrations, Live TV, a programme guide, supported provider On Demand playback and related tools. It is offered free of charge through the project repository. Releases may be beta software. Features, compatibility, support and continued availability are not guaranteed.

2. Your sources and responsibilities

You are responsible for configuring your devices, addons, playlists, accounts and API keys, and for ensuring you have permission to access the content and services you use. Ensure your use of content sources complies with applicable copyright laws, licensing requirements and the terms of each provider. The project does not endorse or encourage copyright infringement. Do not use the app to infringe copyright, bypass access restrictions, misuse accounts or interfere with other systems. Keep credentials private and make appropriate backups before making changes.

ReSeq does not host, supply or distribute movies, series, live broadcasts, IPTV subscriptions or playlists, or bundle third-party addons that supply those playback streams. Users configure their own playback sources, including addons, media servers and IPTV providers. Default addon endpoints are Cinemeta metadata (v3-cinemeta.strem.io) and OpenSubtitles v3 subtitles (opensubtitles-v3.strem.io). Predefined metadata and trailer services and the project-hosted sports metadata feed are also available. These services are distinct from full movie, series and live-channel playback sources. Public sports metadata and EPG matches do not grant broadcast rights or access to a channel.

3. Third-party services

Addons, metadata and tracking providers, IPTV services, Nuvio accounts, Google Drive and optional Gemini assistance are operated by third parties. Their own terms, privacy policies, charges, access limits and account requirements apply. You arrange any required permissions or subscriptions directly with them. ReSeq does not control or endorse their content, reliability or data practices.

Episode correspondence, stream results, guide information, sports scores and broadcast suggestions can be incomplete or inaccurate. A matching channel or episode number does not guarantee the intended content is available. Providers may change, restrict or discontinue access without notice. See the Privacy Policy before connecting integrations.

4. Open-source licence and attribution

ReSeq source code is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0, with applicable third-party licences and notices retained. Your rights to use, study, modify and redistribute the software are governed by those licences. These terms do not replace the GPL, impose additional restrictions on GPL rights or grant rights to third-party media, brands or data.

Credit belongs to Nuvio by Tapframe and contributors, Nuvio + IPTV by homelessbrian and contributors, and ReSeq contributors. See the repository's IPTV notice and bundled notices. ReSeq is not an official release of either upstream project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Stremio, TiviMate, Trakt, Simkl, MDBList, Google, TheTVDB or other third-party services. Third-party trademarks and service names belong to their respective owners and identify compatibility, integrations and attribution. Stremio-compatible addons and TiviMate-style functionality describe interoperability and the guide/player experience, not an official partnership. The IPTVnator MIT notice is also retained.

5. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the software and website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. The project does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, accurate metadata, successful backups, or compatibility with every source or device.

To the extent permitted by applicable law and the applicable open-source licences, maintainers and contributors are not liable for losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the software or website, including lost data, unavailable services or indirect and consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, guarantees or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any applicable consumer protections.

6. Changes

The software and its integrations may change or be discontinued. Updated website terms will appear on this page with a new effective date. The licence supplied with a particular software version continues to govern that version. Review release notes and these terms when updating or connecting new services.

7. Contact and rights concerns

For project questions, use GitHub Issues. Rights holders can report concerns about project-distributed material, identifying the work, exact repository file/commit, release asset or project-hosted URL, the basis of concern and the requested change. Issues are public; omit private contact details, credentials and confidential evidence.

This is an informal project contact route, not a confidential channel or formal DMCA procedure. For copyright complaints to GitHub about material it hosts, see GitHub’s own reporting guidance and disclosure policy. Contact the external provider for content hosted solely by it. These disclosures do not establish legal safe harbour, copyright certification or immunity from liability.
